Sometimes

I paint things for money.

I’ve been painting my entire life as a casual hobby, and one of the silver linings of the 2023 writers strike (and the absolute debacle it caused for the Canadian film industry) is that I had a lot of time to get back into something I enjoyed.

I identify strongly as a creator of things (sometimes even a creator of stuff as well as things), and so I sought my creative fulfillment somewhere else. I don’t have a formal art education, I’m just an English major who was staring down a future I didn’t want and had to wildly course correct.

So come take a look at what I got up to in the absence of fake hospitals and police stations to dress. Some of these were just for fun, some of these were commissioned.

All paintings save for the larger of the two to the left of this paragraph have successfully found homes. If you’re interested in a commission or print, hit me up for rates at the email link in the footer.
